Join your peers in a journey to improving cultural relations guided by Melody Wood.
This training is meant for folks to come together to explore cultural humility, enhancing self-awareness in a safe space. Following the training we will visit & learn about Buffalo Child Stone near Mistusinne.
Thursday, June 6, 2024; 10:00am-3:00pm
Harbour Golf Community Centre, #1 Lakeside Road, Elbow, Sk. & Mistusinne Heritage Site, HWY 19
In case of inclement weather, the Buffalo Child Stone Visit will be shared indoors.
Cultural Humility Training is an educational experience to learn about our ties to these lands, the commonalities in our journeys, and to learn about the Indigenous groups in our province, our history, and how that can be beneficial to our community as a whole.
It is important that we learn about each other’s cultures, our cultural differences we see across different groups, and understand the history behind them and how it impacts our everyday lives. This training is meant for individuals, groups and businesses to come together to explore cultural humility, enhance self-awareness in a safe space. It is a great professional development opportunity for anyone, especially those who work with Indigenous people.
