On November 21 from (9:00-4:00pm) SPRA will be offering the Recreation Facility Management Course at the Pilot Butte Recreation Centre. This course will cover: Employee Safety and Training – Management Practices – Capital Planning and Budgeting
Due to concerns being raised from recent liability losses in programs and on recreational properties such as the unfortunate and terrible accident at the ice arena in Fernie, the Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Association (SPRA) is hosting a Changing Trends in Recreational Liability one day workshop on November 22, 2017 from 9:00am – 3:00pm at the Pilot Butte Recreation Centre. In this workshop you will learn about real liabilities and risks associated with the use of your parks, trails, recreational lands, indoor and outdoor rinks, programs and the steps you can take to improve service delivery and operation of your department.
Both courses are part of the package and cannot be taken separately. The intended audience that the course will focus on and the ones that it will be beneficial for are: Town Councils and Administrators, Recreation Directors and Facility Managers, Board Members and Volunteers.
