Throughout the month\, we honour the histories\, traditions\, and diversity of First Nations\, Inuit\, and Métis Peoples throughout Turtle Island while recognizing the ongoing work of truth and reconciliation. This month also brings Pride Month\, National Indigenous Peoples Day\, and the summer solstice\, offering many opportunities to gather and deepen our relationships with one another.\nContinue reading for ways to take part in Indigenous History Month\, details on our upcoming music and art showcases\, a multi-part DWF LIVE exploring powwows\, and key dates of significance throughout June.\nIn June 2026\, DWF invites people throughout Canada to join us in Walking Together: Celebrating Indigenous History Month. All month long\, DWF will share ways you can take part\, wherever you are on your reconciliation journey.\nWalking Together is a call to move beyond awareness into meaningful engagement.
