One Book, One Province Committee announced the 2022 selection for One Book, One Province, Saskatchewan!
“Arab Cooking on a Prairie Homestead: Recipes and Recollections From a Syrian Pioneer” by Habeeb Salloum is a wonderful collection of recipes and a beautiful memoir of homesteading in Saskatchewan. It brings to light a part of Canadian history that is not well known, the story of Arab settlers on the prairies. One Book, One Province takes place each year throughout the month of March. Visit the SLA website for more information.
