September 30th is National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. This date coincides with Orange Shirt Day and is intended to provide Canadians with an opportunity to recognize and commemorate the tragic history and ongoing legacy of residential schools, and to honor their survivors, their families and communities.
Take some time to reflect, learn more about residential schools, and have conversations about the impact and legacy. Learning our history and listening to residential school survivors is the foundation of the reconciliation journey. Learn more at the National Centre for Truth & Reconciliation.
