From October 19–23, educators and learners across Turtle Island will come together to celebrate outdoor learning, with Take Me Outside Day on Wednesday, October 21 at the heart of the week.

This year’s theme is Hope Grows Outside, and taking part can be simple. Commit to at least one hour of learning outside with your learners. Your schoolyard, neighbourhood, local park or the space just outside your classroom can become a place for learning.

To help inspire you, registration is FREE and includes a full week of virtual programming with Leona Prince, elin kelsey, Parks Canada, Remy Rodden and Abhay Sachal, exploring Indigenous Knowledge, environmental learning, restoration, music, health and wellbeing, and hope for the future.

And we’re helping you take the learning beyond the screen! Curriculum-connected outdoor lesson plans accompany our virtual presentations, giving you ready-to-use ways to continue the learning outside.
