A Community Visit (CV) is an opportunity for your community or group of communities to gather key people in one room and meet with a Community Consultant. Key people include either paid staff or volunteers, and are those who have a vested interest in making your community a better place to live, work and/or raise a family. Those who serve on sport, culture, and/or recreation boards, councils, organizations or committees, those who hold positions as Recreation Directors, Administrators, Councilors and those who are involved with the justice, health, and education sectors would be ideal candidates for participating in a meeting such as this. People you invite to the table will be as diverse as your community or group of communities.
The Community Consultant’s role is to provide these key people, our members, with an overview of the District, Provincial sport, culture and recreation initiatives, and the programs, services and resources available to you. Through discussion, the District gains valuable insight into your needs. This ultimately allows us to support you better by improving our services. We know we can’t be everything to everybody, but we can create connections to better enable your community to succeed.
